Meet Sasha

SHE/HER

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, wife, daughter, auntie, friend, community builder, creator, gift giver, animal lover, recovering perfectionist, goofball, and explorer. I feel deeply and embrace the messiness that comes with being human. I live part time on a multi-generational farm in the Columbia River Gorge and part time in the Methow Valley with my husband and our rescue pit bull, Roux. I see clients remotely across OR and WA and in person in Winthrop, WA. In my free time I enjoy cooking, hiking, gravel biking, cross-country skiing, cuddling with my dog, and watching crime dramas.

My Style Is:

  • I care deeply about my clients (sometimes too much - yep, that’s me, awake at 4am thinking about you), join you in your experience, and work hard to make sure you feel seen and heard.

  • What you see is what you get. In our sessions, and in life, I show up as my whole self.

  • I’m a goofball at heart and occasionally bring humor (and swear words) into our work.

  • I believe that change is always possible and hold onto hope even when you feel like giving up. I know you are doing your best with the tools you have and recognize the impact of context, power, and oppression on your mental and physical well-being. I also know that together we can transform suffering into more secure and resilient relationships.

  • I’m not afraid to call you out/in so you can learn and grow through our work together.

Qualifications

Degree

I hold a Masters Degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. As part of my degree, I completed 12 months of clinical experience at Oregon Pediatrics in Clackamas, OR and the Lewis and Clark Community Counseling Center.

Training

I have completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy through the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).

License

I am a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in Oregon (R11576) and Washington (MG70024180) and am supervised by Carly Rubin, LMFT (OR license T1838, WA license LF61399669) and Paula Emerick, LMFT (OR license T1444).
