Rates

  • 60 minute Initial Intake - $200
    50 Minute Follow Up - $150

Note: I charge a higher rate for intake appointments due to the additional time required for me to coordinate paperwork, establish care, and begin your treatment plan.

  • Due to state laws preventing associates in private practice from billing certain insurance plans, insurance companies requiring a mental health diagnosis to cover therapy sessions, the administrative burden associated with billing insurance, as well as the risk of non-payment and clawbacks, I do not currently bill insurance. I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) for out of network reimbursement upon request. It is your responsibility to verify your out of network mental health coverage. You can learn more about why I don’t accept insurance here.

  • In an effort to increase affordable access to mental health care, I offer a limited number of reduced rate spots. Please contact me to learn more about how I set my rates, the average cost of mental health care in your area, and to inquire about reduced rate availability.

  • Payment is due at the time of service via Credit/Debit, FSA, or HSA.

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using their insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes fees for mental health services when seeing an out-of-network provider

    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
