Below is a brief summary of what to expect from our first few sessions together. These more structured sessions allow us to lay a strong foundation for our work together.
Session 1
During our first session we will go over logistics (informed consent, confidentiality, practice policies etc.) and then begin getting to know one another and your presenting concerns.Sessions 2 & 3
During the second and third sessions, I will meet with each member of the couple system individually. This allows me to better understand your individual attachment and relationship history and assess for anything that might get in the way of effective couples work.Session 4
During our fourth session we will begin to track and make meaning of the patterns of interaction that lead to distress in your relationship. -
I have experience working with youth (ages 7-18) and maintain a limited number of spots for youth in my practice. Contact me for more information.

I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and social locations and particularly enjoy working with second generation immigrants, neurodiverse couples, and adult siblings.

In my experience, therapy works best when you are able to attend sessions weekly for at least 12-16 weeks.
