Couples
Whether you are starting something new or in it for the long haul, it can be hard to stay connected. If you are struggling with:
A lack of trust
Navigating big life decisions
Parenting stress
A general sense of disconnection
I can help! I am skilled at helping couples:
Repair and rebuild trust
Understand their shared values and goals
Identify and shift old patterns that are no longer serving them
Uncover unspoken emotional experiences so they can be addressed.
Families
As we move through life, our families grow and change in ways that are both expected and unexpected. It can be hard to adapt without losing closeness and connection. If you are:
Holding onto past relationship wounds
Struggling with life cycle transitions and shifting family dynamics
Growing farther apart
Healing is possible. I work with adult families (biological and chosen) to:
Repair relationship injuries
Increase understanding and connection
Foster mutual respect.
Types of Therapy
Emotionally Focused Therapy
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an evidence-based approach grounded in attachment theory that supports the (re)creation of secure bonds with self and others. Based on the belief that humans are wired for belonging and growth, EFT, provided by a trained EFT therapist, helps couples and families by identifying unhelpful patterns of interaction, exploring core emotional responses, and uncovering unmet attachment needs. This process guides people toward new ways of relating that foster emotional safety and lasting connection. Learn more about EFT here.
Socio-Emotional Relationship Therapy
Socio-Emotional Relationship Therapy (SERT) helps couples and families build stronger, more equitable relationships by focusing on the social and cultural factors that shape how we relate. Central to SERT is the Circle of Care, which encourages openness, mutual vulnerability, shared responsibility, and empathy.
